Mowasalat Headquarters – Fabrication and Installation of Automated Access Gates
Kyda International had the privilege of designing, fabricating, and installing over 20 new automated entry and exit gates at the Mowasalat Headquarters in Doha, Qatar. We also had the opportunity to upgrade the existing fencing with our high end wire-mesh fencing to elevate the boundaries of the site.
This large-scale project involved the engineering and execution of custom-built structural steel gates, with spans reaching up to 22 meters in length and individual gate leaves weighing up to 550 kilograms. Each gate was fabricated from heavy-duty mild steel sections, precision welded and finished with polyurethane protective coating to ensure durability and corrosion resistance under Qatar’s extreme climatic conditions.
The automation systems were integrated using BFT industrial-grade operators from Italy, selected for their performance and safety standards The scope included:
- Electro-mechanical swing and sliding gate systems engineered for high torque output and continuous 24 hours duty operation.
- Custom curved gate automation, requiring precise alignment and torque calibration to maintain smooth travel along non-linear tracks.
- Integration of limit sensors, control panels, safety photocells, and remote access modules for seamless functionality and safety compliance.
- Heavy-duty foundation works and embedded plates for accurate load distribution and long-term structural stability.
The project showcased Kyda’s capability to handle large-scale, technically demanding installations—from structural design and fabrication to automation, testing, and commissioning—while maintaining superior precision, finish quality, and operational reliability.
